Through development, research and devotion, Idolater aims to be at the forefront of the evolving Black Metal genre. Using a complex and anti-minimalist approach, Idolater achieves a new level of intensity while emphasizing dissonant counterpoint and detailed melody.
Idolater began around the year 2000 when The Idolater discovered the power of songwriting. Anxious to form a band, he started writing and practicing with other individuals in the area. Due to different visions and a reclusive writing style, it became apparent that he didn't work well with others.
Idolater's first work, Regno Abyssus, was terminated in early 2003. Unhappy with this album, it was never released.
For the next couple of years, The Idolater wrote his second album. It was never officially named and is referred to simply as "II". This album was never fully recorded and mastered.
Shortly after, The Idolater began writing songs what is now known as Black Sexual Blasphemy. In mid 2009, The Idolater made his name public and posted rough versions of three songs. The full album was released in early 2010.
